The PinPoint X is a compact, intelligent and fully-featured mobile communications platform with multiple peripheral connections including serial, Ethernet and USB. Expanded I/O functionality unleashes extensive remote instrumentation possibilities. Its high-precision 16-channel GPS receiver and the extensive location-based application services built in to ALEOS™ greatly enhance any tracking solution. The PinPoint X was designed from the ground up for the harsh environment of mobile data and vehicle tracking applications and it is certified to meet Military Standards for extreme temperature, shock, vibration, and humidity.
The PinPoint X is equipped with advanced CDMA 2000 EV-DO Revision A (EV-DO Rev. A) wireless technology. In addition, it is backwards compatible and automatically connects with existing and broadly deployed EV-DO Rev. 0 and CDMA 1x networks ensuring reliable and pervasive connectivity.

The Sierra Wireless MP GPS line provides in-vehicle data solutions while operating over any 3G network, with peak download data rates of 3.1 Mbps. To accommodate areas where such coverage is not yet available, the MP GPS is backwards compatible with all earlier revisions of CDMA and GSM networks. A 12-channel GPS module and 4 digital & 4 analog input/output ports are also offered to allow for advanced tracking and alarms.
